Sharpening Your Marketing Skills

When I opened the first store for my business, I expected the customers to pour in. Unfortunately, the first week of operations, I only helped about 50 people. I quickly realized that attracting customers was a little harder than I thought it would be. In an attempt to stay in business, I worked with a friend of mine who knew a little more about marketing. Together, we were able to form a plan of attack, and within a few weeks we had turned things around. If you are in the same boat, check out my website. You can learn how to sharpen your marketing skills, so that you can love your job.

Attract New Customers With Digital Signage

One of the best ways to attract new customers to your business is to make sure your storefront is noticeable, inviting, and memorable. While keeping your property tidy and maintained can help you attract and retain customers, you can improve your reputation within your community by installing digital display signage on your property. Digital signs are bright, customizable screens that display text, images, and videos. Here are three reasons to consider installing digital signage in front of your business.

Bright, Visible Display

If your business is located on a major road, it can be noticed by potential customers at all hours of the day and night if you install a digital sign near the road. These signs are always lit, so they will attract the attention of anyone driving down the road. If you have concerns about the visibility of your storefront, especially if it is set back from the road, a bright digital sign can tell customers where to find your business. Having a bright sign can also make your business visible to potential customers who have never considered stepping into your store. With a bright, clear, and memorable sign, you may just see your customer base grow.

Constantly Changing Information

Old-fashioned signs can't keep up with the benefits of digital signs. In order to update a traditional sign, you would have to replace at least part of the sign. Updating a digital sign is as easy as editing some settings or uploading a new video or text file to the sign's database. You can display your store's hours for the day to make sure your customers know when to stop by or inform customers of a new sale. You can also add useful information to your sign as a public service, including the date, time, and outside temperature. Changing your sign's information regularly will keep customers interested in your business and attract customers from the street.

On-Site Advertising

Creating an advertising campaign and paying for advertising space can get expensive. When you have a digital sign on your property, you already have a built-in advertising space. Many digital signs display videos, so you can incorporate some of your traditional ads into your sign's display rotation. Make sure to track the success of your campaign through metrics like monthly sales statistics and first-time customer visits. You can still hire a marketing consultant to help you make the best possible use of your sign, but since you won't have to pay to rent an advertising space, your marketing expenses should decrease.
