Sharpening Your Marketing Skills

When I opened the first store for my business, I expected the customers to pour in. Unfortunately, the first week of operations, I only helped about 50 people. I quickly realized that attracting customers was a little harder than I thought it would be. In an attempt to stay in business, I worked with a friend of mine who knew a little more about marketing. Together, we were able to form a plan of attack, and within a few weeks we had turned things around. If you are in the same boat, check out my website. You can learn how to sharpen your marketing skills, so that you can love your job.

Learn How To Create The Perfect Radio Commercial To Promote Your Business

Radio advertising can be a great way to promote your business to numerous people at one time. Creating a great radio commercial may not be as easy as you think though. There are many things to consider when creating a great commercial, and the following guide will teach you a few of them.

Consider the Time Restraint

Radio commercials can only be so long. Radio stations have to play a few different commercials during each commercial break, and your commercial will be limited to the specific amount of time that the radio station provides to you. Be sure that you are brief and to the point with any information you want to share through the commercial.

Consider Your Audience

When deciding what terms to use in the commercial, consider what time of day the commercial will be playing. You want to be sure that commercials that are played during the daytime are more reserved and do not contain crude jokes or innuendos in them, because there is a good chance that children may be listening to the radio during the day.

Consider Hiring a Celebrity

Celebrities are often great to have in radio commercials because many people trust the advice given to them by their favorite celebrities. It is important to realize that hiring a celebrity to work in your commercials will be somewhat expensive. If you are able to get more people into your business, it may be an investment worth making, though. Be sure that you review the script with the actor or actress before the actual day of recording to be sure that they feel comfortable with the lines and do not need anything to be changed to make them feel more comfortable.

Consider a Jingle

You should also consider creating a jingle for your radio commercial. A jingle is a catchy song that is short, but interesting. You want the jingle to be something that people continue to sing over and over again in their heads throughout the day. There are professional jingle writers who you can hire to write your jingle for you, so that your commercial can be catchy.

If you take these things into consideration when having a radio commercial created, you will ensure that you have a commercial that is informative and catchy. You want to create the commercial that once someone hears it, they cannot help but tell someone else about it.
